Quintessential Qatar: Local Film-Fixing Expertise

Qatar….

An amazing country bursting with possibility – and somewhere we’ve been lucky enough to call home for almost 10 years now.

It’s a nation that’s grown into a modern icon in recent years, full of character and personality, and it’s no wonder that it’s fast-becoming one of the go-to countries for all kinds of media production, especially filming.

We’re proud to be part of the one of the world’s fastest-growing media scenes, and we’ve got so much experience and insight that we want to share!

We know as well as anyone what it’s like to be a newcomer to a new place and how daunting it can be daunting to film somewhere for the first time. With that in mind, we want to take the time to showcase it in detail because, when it comes to fixing and film production, there’s so much about this wonderful country that demands to be shared with the world.

So, first things first:

WHAT IS FIXING?

‘Fixing’ is one of the most valuable assets in the film production world: someone with intimate local knowledge of a region who can provide production support, using their extensive network to organise and arrange services and events beyond the easy access of those outside.

Fixers are hugely important around the world – and the role of a fixer in Qatar is no exception. We’re able to provide expert fixing support thanks to having worked in Qatar for almost 15 years now.

Since we set up our regional HQ in Doha back in 2014, our knowledge of the country as a film production hub has gone from strength to strength.

WHY QATAR MATTERS

Qatar’s emergence on the world stage is truly a modern success story for our time!

Building on the continuing progress and success of National Vision 2030, the country’s become an economic powerhouse across all kinds of sectors, including media production. Thanks in great part to Doha’s key role as a regional nexus providing access across the world, it’s an ideal place for film production.

So: a thriving filmmaking scene… inspiring locations… great access to the rest of the world… what’s not to like!?

YOUR LOCAL TEAM

Our team in Doha is a great mix of local filmmaking experts from across Qatar and overseas professionals from around the world. We’ve spent years building up an extensive network of contacts and support, and it allows us to access locations and permits that would be otherwise unavailable to those without the knowledge and contacts that we have!

Quite simply, we’ve got unparalleled knowledge of filmmaking in Qatar, and we’re here to help.
